Abbie Severn is a reportage artist and workshop facilitator originating from coastal Pembrokeshire.
Having moved to Birmingham to study for her undergraduate degree 2015. The vast contrast in environments, led to an intrigue in documenting her secondary urban surroundings.
Having spent 3+ years documenting the industrial Digbeth, Birmingham. Through on site mark making and drawing, in collecting a sensory record of the space and building these into larger drawings and screen prints. The Digbeth collection, launched for sale at the debut solo exhibition in June 2021 and has been exhibited in groups shows in Birmingham and beyond.
