ABOUT

Originally from Pembrokeshire, Wales, Artist Abbie moved to Birmingham to study Visual communication- Illustration at Birmingham City University. Achieving a first class honours degree, and going on to complete a 12 month Artist in Residency at Parkside print room.

Following her degree work, which focused on a collection of works based on 3 coastal locations of Pembrokeshire, documenting her secondary surroundings was a natural step. The vast contrast in the rural and urban spaces was an immediate intrigue from the moment she first moved to the city.

The Digbeth project, is a collection of works, made through mark making and drawing on site, collecting a sensory record of the space. These are then used to refine further detailed drawings and paintings in the studio.

The Digbeth collection, launched for sale at the Exhibition in June 2021, and is now online to buy here. Including Original drawings, Screen prints and Giclée prints.
